ERMELO - Jason Malherbe is an eight-year-old non-verbal autistic boy, who are in desperate need of Stem Cell Therapy.
According to his mother, Yolanda, this will be life changing for him and will enable him to become verbal and will also improve him neurologically.
“The treatment will also expand his learning potential and abilities. Our wish for him is that he will finally be able to express himself and take part in social interactions,” Malherbe said.
She told the newspaper that one of the biggest causes to Jason’s non-verbal autism, is the extreme toxicity of metals and toxins present in his body that is causing damage to his cells, enzymes and neurological system.
According to her Jason became autistic due to environmental factors not by genetics. Genetic testing as well as a variety of intensive tests has been done to confirm this.
In her search of any medication to help improve her son’s condition and to improve his communication skills, she came across Dr Hein van Wyk from Stemcure Clinic in White River.
“He will do a thorough Detox ridding his body of these harmful substances, before giving him the stem cells made from his own blood that will repair all damaged areas in his body.”
The duration for the treatment is 14 days.
Mahlerbe said blood plates will be sent to Germany to do a thorough toxicology report that determines the exact detox procedure for his stem cell specific and platelet rich plasma treatment.
She added that low intensity laser treatment will also be done to ensure proper healing.
To make this dream come true for Jason, the family are in need of the community’s help to raise the R70 300 that is needed to undergo the procedure.
Jason is currently a student at Prism Centre for special needs, and according to the owner of the centre, Gerda Smuts, he has improved significantly since he joined them.
At times Jason were very aggressive and destroyed the flowers and garden, but they worked through it where she would sit outside with and they would talk about the sounds of the birds and the rustling of the trees.
“For me it was the highlight the first time he came running to me as I picked him up from school and said ‘Hi Mom’.”
A trust was opened at Pas Prokereurs for any donations towards Jason’s medical cost.
