A wonderful visit to the Backyard cafe on a cool Spring day. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere - a delicious cup of coffee sitting next to the fireplace was very welcome, as it was chilly outside. We walked through multiple rooms showcasing beautiful 3D art, paintings, wooden carvings, macrame, ceramics, custom made oak and birchwood furniture - a treasure trove of wonderful pieces. My client loved this excursion - she found it invigorating and stimulating.

My name is Michelle Bird. I am a UK trained and accredited Carer, with 12 years experience in taking care of clients in their homes.
I was born and educated in Cape Town. During my spare time I approached St Luke’s Hospice and completed the Volunteer Caregiving Training course, and became a St Luke’s volunteer.
I assisted terminally ill patients with day to day tasks in their home, as well as coordinated and assisted St Luke’s with fundraising events.

A truly memorable visit to Imhoff's Gift located in Kommetjie. At the entrance to Imhoff is the lovely goat house, and farmstall restaurant. The pottery studio is definitely worth a visit and has some uniquely quirky pottery on display. There are many little art and craft shops, and it's a great way to spend a few hours browsing - having a light lunch followed by a cup of really good coffee. My client loved exploring this beautiful space and taking in the gorgeous views. You are most welcome to join me on our next excursion.

Spring has sprung! A gorgeous visit to Kirstenbosch Botanical garden to see the Spring flowers. The large sculpture at the entrance was a work of art in itself. We popped into the shop after our visit which has a wide selection of the most beautiful things to choose from - something for everyone! We had an interesting excursion to the Cecil John Rhodes museum in St James - as well as a fascinating tour. It was said that CJR requested his bed be positioned in order for him to enjoy the beautiful sea view. I have included a picture of the beautiful wooden carving of the stage coach, used as a means of transport during that era. My client thoroughly enjoyed our excursion.
