Most of us blur these lines
and end up taking responsibility
for things we're not responsible for,
and then create a whole bunch of
unnecessary stress,
frustration,
anxiety,
overwhelm
and anger for ourselves
because we're trying to control
something (or someone)
that we have little to no control over.
🙅🏼♀️
Or we avoid taking responsibility for ourselves
which inevitably leaves us feeling
stuck,
ashamed,
discouraged,
taken advantage of,
anxious,
overwhelmed,
or angry.
🤬
So here's the rule of thumb.
👍🏻
I am responsible for the things I am in control of, and not responsible for the things I am not.
Meaning, I am 100% responsible for myself ALL the time.
💯
And I am responsible TO other people, but not FOR them.
I am responsible TO be respectful, considerate and kind.
I am not responsible FOR what they do with that.
✔️
It's a healthy boundary thing, that's all.
Anything else your done taking unnecessary responsibility for?
