There is a widespread misconception that I wear new beads to project a flashy image or to emphasize my sangoma heritage, or perhaps even to intimidate others. However, the truth is that as I continue to awaken and connect with my ancestors, they become increasingly close to me, and I wear the beads as a symbol of our connection. I would like to emphasize that this practice is deeply personal and has no bearing on others. I kindly request that people refrain from making assumptions about our traditional attire, which holds significant cultural and spiritual meaning. As ancient doctors, our focus is on healing, and our adornments are an integral part of this process. It is essential to recognize that this is a personal matter, and I would appreciate it if others would not project their own perceptions onto my actions. 🤷🏾♂️
