Biokinetics provides you with the knowledge and skill to apply scientifically-based physical activity to either help prevent disease or assist in rehabilitation, following the onset of disease or injury. Rogan Heyns Biokineticist Inc. are part of a holistic healthcare facility based at Westville Village Market inside Brandon Jackson Physiotherapy, and due to the success of this have recently opened a second practice at Westville Boys High School. Rogan Heyns has a BSportSci (2011, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville) and a BSc (Hons) in Biokinetics (2012, University of Zululand). He completed his internship at Jimmy Wright & Associates in 2013. He practiced as a Biokineticist for the Junior Sharks contracted players at Jimmy Wright & Associates and The Sharks until August 2017. Currently he is the owner of Rogan Heyns Biokineticist Inc. which opened in September 2017. He has a passion for sport with a keen interest in the prevention and rehabilitation of sporting injuries.
Ashleigh Trend has her Bachelor of Sport Science (2013, University of Kwazulu-Natal) and her Honours in Biokinetics (2014). She completed her Biokinetics internship through Jimmy Wright and Associates in 2015 and went on to practice under him at Sharks Medical Centre and Kings Park Virgin Active. Trend is currently the senior Biokineticist at Rogan Heyns Biokineticist Inc. Trend grew up in Hillcrest and has a passion for water-sports and the prevention and rehabilitation of patients with chronic disease.
