Feedback from a lovely client who I have been working with for several weeks now doing Energy Healing. Each week we work on something different. This week we did a Soul Retrieval.

Soul retrieval is a concept in shamanic and energy healing traditions where a practitioner helps a person recover parts of their soul or energy that have been "lost" due to trauma, shock, or emotionally intense experiences.

🌀 What Is "Soul Loss"?

In many spiritual and indigenous healing systems, it is believed that during moments of emotional or physical trauma, a part of the soul or life force dissociates or disconnects to protect the individual. This is known as soul loss.

Examples of events that might trigger soul loss:

Abuse (emotional, physical, or sexual)

Death of a loved one

Accidents or surgeries

War or violence

Breakups or abandonment

🌿 What Is Soul Retrieval?

Soul retrieval is a healing process where a trained practitioner aids the client through deep meditation to retrieve the missing soul parts.

They then return these lost parts to the client, often accompanied by messages, images, or sensations that relate to the trauma or the healing process.

In psychological terms, soul retrieval can be compared to:

Trauma healing

Parts work / Internal Family Systems (IFS) – where dissociated parts of the psyche are reintegrated

Inner child healing
