Jon Ching’s crystal-fungi hybrid called “Transference”.✨
“I’ve long loved how the radiating layers of a turkey tail mushroom and an agate geode so resemble each other and knew someday I’d make this piece. It came out just as l’d hoped and it’s a reminder of the interconnectedness of our magical world. The title refers to the transfer of minerals between trees through the mycelial network - one of the coolest, unseen things in nature.”
