Sometimes when we pray, “Lord, deliver us from evil” it can mean deliver from our own heart and its desire. Because if we’re being real it’s not always the enemy outside of us. Sometimes it’s the battle within us. The urge to get revenge. The pull to go back to what God already told us to leave. The craving for things that look good but aren’t God. The thoughts that try to justify doing what we KNOW isn’t right. And if you’re not careful, you’ll start agreeing with your flesh instead of fighting it.
So today, be honest in your prayer..
“Lord, deliver me from anything in me, that’s not like You. Even if it’s my attitude.
Even if it’s my desires. Even if it’s my thoughts.” 🙏🏾
Healing doesn’t just come from what God removes around you, it also comes from what He uproots within you.
