Recent studies have revealed that being a mom is the equivalent of 2.5 full-time jobs and mothers, especially working mothers generally have the absolute highest cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
Being a mother means little to no time to oneself, constant interruptions, cleaning, loud noises, etc. which all naturally increase cortisol levels.
