PCOS, what actually is this?

When I was medically diagnosed with about 2 years ago I was pretty much told you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, you have a hormone imbalance, you will struggle to have children, here is a pamphlet,

I was scared, confused and emotional! I felt like the doctor did not give me the knowledge, support and understanding she should have. Sadly iv seen this a lot!

So what is PCOS? It is a hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with which cysts

Common symptoms include: irregular periods or no period at all | fertility problems | weight gain | oily skin or | insulin resistance | mood changes

There is no cure for PCOS however certain treatments can help elevate the

My OBGYN at the time (I do not see this doctor anymore for a few reasons) also then wanted to operate as she thought I possibly had as well - I do not, I am grateful for that.

I started this page to share my , , , and basically just my journey to finding within this situation, a balance I am still trying to find. This condition comes with many struggles intertwined.

Today I see my and (a different doctor to the one who originally diagnosed me) I am hopeful that today will bring news and solutions!
