As AI becomes more deeply embedded in daily life, it’s becoming increasingly clear that these systems aren’t simply reflecting society, they’re reinforcing it. When the data behind these models carries historical gender bias, the technology built on top of it can unintentionally revive norms we’ve spent decades working to move beyond.

From algorithmic bias to the lack of diversity in training data, important questions are emerging about the role AI may be playing in absorbing old patterns and projecting them into the future at scale.

In the latest edition of The Lantern Newsletter, we explore whether AI is quietly rebuilding the gender norms we’ve worked so hard to dismantle and what this means for organisations, communities, and the next generation.

For too long, discussions around women’s health have been confined to clinical care. At WEF 2026, global leaders and advocates challenged this narrow view, calling for bold, intersectional investment that recognises women’s health as deeply connected to the social and economic systems that shape their daily lives.
The message was clear: when we overlook the environments in which women live and work, we are not advancing health outcomes — we are reinforcing inequality.

In the latest edition of The Lantern Newsletter, we unpack these insights and explore why a holistic, systems‑level approach to women’s health is essential for meaningful progress.

At this time of year, many people feel pressure to “reset” on January 1st — but time isn’t a universal starting line. Around the world, New Year traditions fall on different dates, reminding us that growth doesn’t follow a single calendar.

The same is true for personal and professional milestones. Careers, achievements, and development don’t move in lockstep. Everyone progresses on their own timeline, and meaningful change can begin at any moment.

Our latest newsletter explores how redefining these expectations can create healthier, more sustainable approaches to growth and goal‑setting.

We may not feel like a different person when the calendar turns to a new year because real change is gradual, and our sense of self isn’t automatically reset by a date on the calendar. For many, th…

Yesterday, we observed Human Rights Day, a reminder that the pursuit of dignity and equality remains urgent. This year, the call against gender-based violence has grown stronger, as communities increasingly recognise that harm takes many forms, both visible and invisible.

Beyond the physical violence that often dominates headlines, emotional, psychological, and economic abuses are now being acknowledged as equally destructive to safety and wellbeing.

In this edition of The Lantern Newsletter, we examine how broadening our understanding of violence strengthens the movement for systemic change and collective responsibility.

On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, we pause to acknowledge a painful truth: violence against women and girls is still far too common. It takes many forms: physical, emotional, financial, digital and whether visible or invisible, offline or online, its impact is devastating.

Violence is not just bruises or broken bones. It can be words that wound, control that isolates, or harassment that follows someone into digital spaces. Every form of violence, whether seen or unseen, robs women and girls of safety, dignity, and freedom.

We stand firmly against all forms of violence. We believe in creating safe spaces where respect, equality, and compassion are non-negotiable.

Ending violence against women is not the responsibility of survivors, it’s the responsibility of all of us. By listening, speaking out, supporting survivors, and challenging harmful norms, we can build a world where women and girls live free from fear.

Violence has no place here. Not in our homes, not in our workplaces, not in our communities, and not online.

This month, we honour the courage it takes for men to speak, feel, and heal.

Too often, silence is mistaken for strength. But real strength lies in vulnerability, in the quiet moments when men reach out, ask for help, or simply say, “I’m not okay.”

We remain committed to creating spaces where men can show up fully without shame, without stigma. Mental health is not a luxury, it’s a right.

Let’s rewrite the narrative. Let’s make it safe for men to heal.
