Our annual management conference

Ottoshoop community library

The Ottoshoop Community Library is located at 56 Commissioner Street, Ottoshoop, 2866, in the North West province of South Africa.
The library offers a variety of services to the community, including:
Lending Services: Materials available for lending include print books, toys, magazines, and art prints.
Newspaper Services: Reading and cuttings for reference.
Photocopying Services: 65 cents per page.
Reference Service: Access to dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, and other sources for research, personal interest, and study.
Reading Area: Space available for quiet personal study.
Conference Room/Hall: Available at Mmabatho Library for R200 per session (a session comprises four hours).
Government Communication and Information Services.
Promotion of Reading and Dissemination of Information: Through awareness and community programs, such as National Calendar events like Youth Day and Women's Day.

Suurbraak library

Nestled in the small mission village of Suurbraak in the the Overberg region of the Western Cape, the Suurbraak Public Library is a vital institution in a place defined by its natural beauty, heritage, and rural community.
Because of its size and facilities, it acts as an important knowledge & cultural resource within the Swellendam area. It is involved in rural outreach (block loans) to farm communities, helping extend access to books and educational materials beyond the village itself. The library is also connected to local literacy initiatives; for example, a book club was launched in Suurbraak to encourage reading among learners.The broader educational / community hub in Suurbraak, Trust House, works alongside such library and literacy initiatives. Trust House is a resource centre offering reading & literacy programmes, creative arts workshops and youth leadership training.
In a setting where formal resources are scarce, the library helps anchor literacy, learning, and community cohesion.
