The hospital is equipped with state of the art medical equipment enabling specialists at the hospital to deliver the best possible care to their patients. Our Radiology Department boasts high end equipment that allows a variety of testing to be done on site. The package of services include MRI, CT scans, sonar, and a variety of commonly used x-rays. Included in our radiology offering, special mention is made to the Mammogram equipment which allows specialist to take a breast biopsy by using three dimensional location. Future plans are to use this equipment as part of the Breast Clinic that will be opened at the hospital. The Clinic will bring together a multidisciplinary team catering for related implications under one roof. The hospital offers multiple surgical disciplines including: Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, Maxillofacial Oral Surgery as well as Thoracic Surgery and Urology Services. The hospitals entire Maternity section known as the Mother and Child Care Unit, is housed in one “Birthing Unit”. The Unit provides a unique clinical yet hotel like birthing experience. Our carefully designed maternity packages ensure that families receive sufficient support before, during and after the birth of their new born. Our Mother and Child Care Unit includes a Neonatal ICU that is serviced by a Paediatrician specialising in neonatology. The Unit also hosts its own comfortable lounge for the waiting Dads and families to support expectant mothers. With the lovely view over the Lowveld from this Unit, and the skills of the Obstetricians, there is no better place for a family to welcome their new born into this world. Another centre of excellence at Kiaat Private Hospital is that of our Intensive Care Unit. A specialised intensivist looks after patients in this unit with the aim of producing better clinical outcomes. Our facilities also include a 24 hour Emergency and Trauma Unit. The unit is headed up by a clinical nursing specialist, specialising in emergency nursing. A unique feature of our Emergency and Trauma Unit is that of a dedicated area for paediatric emergencies. This area provides a comfortable, safe and less stressful environment for paediatric cases admitted through the ER. Our hospital is also home to an in house Wellness Clinic that hosts Occupational Health screening. This is in keeping with the Nozala Health Partners vision of finding new unique ways of grouping services together, to extend the scope of services offered by Kiaat Private Hospital.
