Today our team had the privilege of attending the SAAMS Symposium 2025 at the Kelvin Grove Conference Centre in Cape Town. The programme brought together leading voices to engage critically with pressing issues around addiction, technology, medical effects of substances, and the ethical questions surrounding treatment and enhancement.

We are especially proud of Dr Lisa Dannatt, from Bloemendal Clinic, chair of SAAMS.

The diversity of topics and speakers made this gathering an invaluable opportunity to learn, share, and strengthen networks across disciplines. For us at Bloemendal Clinic, it was a reminder that collaboration is essential in addressing the complex realities of addiction and mental health.
