There are so many things we’ve been told about self-harm… but not all of them are true.

Some of those myths keep people silent.
Some make people feel ashamed.
And some stop people from getting the help they actually need.

In my latest YouTube video, I’m breaking down the real truth and myths about self-harm — especially within our South African context — in a way that’s honest, gentle, and judgment-free.

This is for you if:
• You’ve ever struggled in silence
• You’ve misunderstood self-harm before
• You want to support someone but don’t know how

We need more conversations like this. Real ones. Safe ones.

And if you’re currently navigating your own emotions or feeling overwhelmed, I also offer Navigation & Support sessions — a safe space where we unpack what you’re going through at your pace, without judgment.

As our parents grow older, their mental health matters too.

Depression, loneliness, and anxiety can affect elderly parents, but these struggles are often overlooked or misunderstood. Supporting them starts with patience, listening, and making sure they feel seen and valued.

Mental health conversations should include every generation. 🧠💬

March is Self-Harm Awareness Month.

Self-harm is often misunderstood. Many people assume it is attention seeking, when in reality it is often a way someone tries to cope with overwhelming emotional pain, trauma, or distress.

This month is about breaking the silence, reducing stigma, and encouraging compassionate conversations about mental health. When we listen without judgment, we create space for healing.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that support is available and you don’t have to go through it alone.

✨ We offer Navigation & Support Sessions where we explore your challenges, identify support strategies, and create a path toward healing and emotional wellbeing.

Eating disorders are often misunderstood and rarely talked about openly in our communities. They are not just about food or weight — they are often connected to deeper struggles with self-worth, control, trauma, anxiety, and emotional pain.

In this video I unpack:
• The signs and causes of eating and weight disorders
• Common myths vs realities
• What support and recovery can look like

The more we talk about mental health, the more we create space for understanding and healing.
