EmpowerMe Coaching SA EmpowerMe Coaching SA supports teens and students in navigating subject choices, career direction and time mastery with confidence.

05/03/2026

Over the past few years, many of you have known me for guiding high school students through subject choices, confidence building and navigating the demands of school life with greater clarity and organisation.

But what many don’t realise is that I’ve also been quietly working with university students.

And I keep seeing the same pattern.

The struggle is not intelligence.
It’s not ability.

It’s structure.

It’s suddenly having full freedom with no system to manage it.

Bright students become overwhelmed not because they are incapable, but because no one has shown them how to organise their time and responsibilities realistically.

That’s why in April, I’m intentionally expanding this work.

Time Mastery Foundations – University Edition.

Because guidance should not end after Grade 12. It should evolve.

Some episodes are planned.
This one wasn’t.

It started with a photoshoot and a simple website update… and ended with me realising just how far I’ve come.

There were tears. There was pride. There was perspective.

The solopreneur journey isn’t polished. It’s not linear. It’s full of growth, doubt, financial pressure, alignment, and moments where you wonder if it’s all worth it.

If you’re building something meaningful and feeling the weight of it — this is your reminder to stay the course.

The journey is worth it.

This week I had one of those frustrating homework moments as a parent.

Something was due. It wasn’t written down. It wasn’t posted yet. And it got me thinking.

I’m seeing the same pattern not only at home, but with the teens I coach. There seems to be a quiet skills gap that no one is really talking about.

Homework diaries.

This is not about criticising teachers. I was one. I know how full their plates are.

This is about executive functioning skills.
Ownership.
Accountability.
Time awareness.

When phones are removed from classrooms, which I support, and homework is not consistently written down, where is the anchor?

Are we expecting memory skills that we have not consistently trained?

A homework diary is not just admin.
It is skill development.

I would genuinely love to hear your thoughts.

Parents, are you feeling this gap?
Teachers, what are you seeing?
Does your school still train diary use?

Let’s have a constructive conversation.

There is no rush.

I’ve been learning a lot about pace lately, especially in business.

For years, I believed speed meant responsibility. If I moved quickly and did more, I was doing well.

But I started noticing the cost. The frantic energy. The pressure. The constant feeling of being behind.

In this new episode, I share why I’m choosing slow and steady over burnout, and how a simple mindset shift changed the way I work and live.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, this might resonate.

A little refresh behind the scenes ✨

I’ve been working quietly on refining and strengthening parts of EmpowerMe Coaching SA. The website has had a refresh, systems are being tightened, and much of the work right now is happening behind the scenes.

This season is about doing the important groundwork in preparation for an exciting year ahead. Building with intention, creating clarity, and ensuring that what I offer truly supports teens, parents, and students through key transitions.

Some work doesn’t need an announcement, it just needs care and time.

This year didn’t start with big goals or perfectly mapped-out plans.
It started with real life… and a moment of honesty.

In this episode, I share how going back into the classroom and reworking my business messaging confirmed something important for me: I’ve outgrown old roles, old strategies, and old ways of trying to convince.

If your year hasn’t started the way you hoped, this one’s for you 🤍
Sometimes clarity comes quietly.

I recorded this video yesterday with every intention of posting it…
and then back-to-school life happened.

If January already feels full-on, especially as a parent, please know you’re not behind. You’re human.

This year I’ll be sharing support, tools, and guidance to help teens and parents feel calmer, more confident, and more prepared for the journey ahead.

I’ll also be sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how this year has started in the next episode of Stresses and Successes of a Solopreneur on YouTube, coming next week.

No rushing. No panic. Just taking the next right step.

As the year draws to a close, I want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me this year. Whether you followed along quietly, engaged with my content, shared a post, attended a workshop, or trusted me with your family’s journey, it has meant more than you know.

This has been a big year of growth, learning, courage, and change, and I am deeply grateful.

I’ll be taking a two-week break to rest and spend time with my family before stepping into the new year refreshed and ready.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful Christmas and a gentle end to the year.

With gratitude,
Nicole

Money is often talked about in numbers.
But for many solopreneurs, it’s deeply emotional.

In Episode 5 of Stresses and Successes of a Solopreneur, I share honestly about the income dips, the stress, the difficult decisions, and the internal shifts that shaped my year.

This episode isn’t about advice or quick fixes.
It’s about navigating pressure, learning to pause instead of panic, and choosing rest as part of building something sustainable.

This episode feels like a deep breath.

In Episode 4 of Stresses and Successes of a Solopreneur, I talk about a creative awakening that quietly changed everything for me.

From returning to the stage after nearly a decade, to rediscovering creativity through art, content, and play, this episode is about what happens when you stop waiting for things to get better and allow joy back in.

Creativity didn’t come after things got better.
It helped make things better.
