HIV & Fertility Care ❤️

In December, we wear red bows in support of people living with HIV.
And we want every patient to know: an HIV diagnosis does not prevent you from becoming a parent.

Women living with HIV may be more prone to blocked fallopian tubes, often linked to undiagnosed tuberculosis. Before trying to conceive, we ensure all antiretroviral medication is safe for pregnancy and that viral load is undetectable, with routine kidney and liver checks.

For male partners, achieving an undetectable viral load is just as important. We can also assist with specialised s***m washing to reduce transmission risk.

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month — and at Genesis, we’re standing with the men of South Africa.

Far too many men suffer in silence. In SA, 1 in 10 men experience depression, yet mental health often goes undiagnosed or unspoken. Men are also four times more likely to commit su***de.

For generations, our culture told men to “man up”, not cry, and keep emotions buried. That narrative is costing lives. It’s time to change the culture.

Mental health matters — and seeking help is a strength, not a weakness. Genesis encourages every man, father, partner, brother, and friend to prioritise their wellbeing.
