Lactic Acid accumulation impedes the muscle contraction process, making muscles use both painful and less effective. Lactic Acid is actually broken down via oxygen supply. Increasing blood flow (red blood cells contain hemoglobin, which carries oxygen) via cardio exercise, massage or stretching effectively, reduces lactic acid. ( needs to remember after such activity, to drink a lot of water to flush it out of our system)
What causes it? During strenuous exercise, muscles produce lactic acid.- a by product that results when oxygen is limited or the muscles use up oxygen faster that it can be delivered.
What are the symptoms? A lactic acid build up inside the muscle fiber will feel like a “knot” or a bump.

How can a HiDow device help? The device can be used to increase circulation and lengthen and relax the tighten muscle fiber through regular treatment sessions.
Recommended pad placement: place one pad directly on the lactic acid buildup.
