Please forward to everyone you know. Afriforum has declared November in memory of those murdered in farm attacks. If they get 100 000 votes, they can hand over a document to the United Nations asking them to intervene against farm murders and farmers being targeted. They will also lodge a complaint with the President due to the SAPS being so lethargic. They already have 4 000 votes, so we still need 96 000. To vote, SMS your name to 45353 to support this initiative. Each phone can only vote once & it costs R1.50 per SMS. Please support this good cause. Thank you.(from my best friend whose parents were murdered on their farm in August - we need to do something. Monica

Paul and Marlize were witnesses on Tuesday in the high court for the case against the 3 remaining intruders. The outcome: All three suspects found guilty on all counts: murder, attempted murder, armed robbery with extenuating circumstances, theft, possession of unlicensed fire arm and posession of ammunition without a license. Verdict in a month's time.
There is some justice in this country - hope this gives my brave family some closure

For those who need some inspiration today... Yes he's actually standing! He played it down saying it was only a few seconds but hey, watch this legend defy all the doctors one day. I love you big brother! X

Hi everyone, just thought I should do an update. Paul is still in constant agony daily - the neuro modulator did not work as well as we hoped. Just wanted you all to know - if Paul doesn't answer calls sometimes he just can't even chat through the pain. So if anyone knows of any other treatment for paraplegics that reduces pain let us know - neurogenic pain is something none of us will ever understand. One of the most heart breaking things is watching someone you love constantly suffer and there is nothing you can do about it. Thanks again for all the love these past 18 months. Monica x

Hi everyone. I have waited to write an update on Paul as he has had some up and down days since the neuro modulator was put in. But am so thrilled to tell you all that he's been mostly pain free since Thursday! We are so optimistic - the Paul we know and love is back, and it's just amazing. Tomorrow they will operate again to permanently install the modulator. Thank you again for the love. Monica x

Paul in his bakkie that you all helped buy! He is happily fetching the kids from school everyday - still the legendary dad! We can't thank you all enough for the love!

Hi everyone. As some of you may know Paul has been in incredible pain for most of the past 14 months - neurogenic pain occurs in all paraplegics who have had their spine severed. But there is hope now - Paul was recently at a neurosurgeon who will operate on him and put in an implant to stop the nerves and impulses that are shooting through him and hurting him (please understand I cannot explain this in a perfect medical way). The operation is on Valentine's Day and we are hopeful that this will at least alleviate if not get rid of the pain he is constantly suffering through. Please keep him in your thoughts! He is such a fighter and deserves any relief to just have a semblance of a normal life. All my love to all of you that have supported and contributed to making things better for Paul. I cannot express how grateful he is and how loved he feels. Monica

Just an update: Paul is planning to buy a bakkie with your donations! He is currently looking (as you all know he needs an automatic and then needs that converted to hand controls) - so soon he will be more mobile and independent thanks to your love and generosity! Thank you everyone again for the love you have shown Paul and his family - want to say a special thanks to an anonymous donor who continues to give monthly contributions - you are such an angel and we can never thank you enough. Love Monica
