Neck pain is a common issue that can be caused by a variety of factors, including:
-Muscle strain: Overusing your neck muscles, such as from holding a phone between your ear and shoulder or carrying a heavy bag, can lead to strain and pain.
-Injuries: Whiplash from a car accident, sports injuries, or other types of trauma can damage the neck muscles, ligaments, and discs, and cause pain.
-Arthritis: Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis can affect the joints in the neck, causing pain and stiffness.
-Spinal stenosis: This condition occurs when the spinal canal narrows, pinching the spinal cord and nerves. It can cause pain, numbness, and weakness in the neck and shoulders.
-Stress: When you’re stressed, your muscles tense up, including the muscles in your neck. This can lead to pain and stiffness.
-Poor posture: Slouching, hunching your shoulders, and holding your head forward for extended periods can strain your neck muscles and lead to pain.
