Long time no post. Since my mom's stroke mid-2023, sent her to a local frail care, I have been rebuilding my life from scratch and it has been tough times, but I lost around 30kgs at least.

Now I live in a tiny house in a poor rural village ourside Plett and involved in animal rescue.

A life unimagined!

I have about twenty minutes to rest before I need to get puppy ready to go meet his new guardian.

He will have a nice cushy padded dog bed, blanket, two feeding bowls, tiny harness, puppy pellets and another 1/4 deworming tablet.

I will miss the little guy, but not picking up tiny piles of p**p.

Will have to wash all the blankets he christened too!

Got to see my mom for a wee while awake, but with a distant stare. Thanks to the 20mg Statin drug the neuro put her on.

Her short term memory fried and she tried to take a slug out of a bottle of shampoo I gave her to smell.

I finally got her MCT oil, so rubbed it into her stomach and asking carer's to do the same every day and add to her coffee every time.

Trying to get the bloody rubbish stopped, but 99.9% of doctor's follow along with general consensus marketed by big pharma and do not do their own research into cholesterol.

Now I pray carer's do what I ask. They change shifts every three days, so I put up a notice I typed this morning.

Been busy with animal rescue in the small poor rural community I moved into a year ago I go a 6 x 6m old one-room RDP house.

Landscaping work has been non-existent the last few months, but no time to sew, because always something to be done for doggies.

Right now have to rehome six thanks to a despicable animal Karen.

Got thirteen days left, so it is very stressful.

Trying to get permission to keep four dogs, instead of the two allowed on a residential property and hoping to get allocated a piece of land to use as a shelter.

Need big and small miracles, breakthrough in landscaping work and more.

My mom had two mini strokes, which have affected her, so on new meds by the neuro, which not good.

The Statin drug has wiped out her short term memory, so off to see her today with MCT oil I was finally able to buy.

Life is hectic and tough as I lost over 30kg's and still losing, but thankfully the good Lord has keep me alive.

Found Tiny Tim on Friday night at my neighbour's fence, but he has thankfully found a home and will leave today.

Oh for a dull life!

Mom and I

I am no longer a landscaper running my own business. These days I am a full time creative care giver, so call me the “Constant Caregiver”, if you like. I needed to find something I could do from home - a product that I could export worldwide preferably!

It helps that I have a personal interest, so not just researching the nutritional deficits of folks with dementia, but also how it affects their vision and ultimately my design.

The 2018 designs onwards will be a lot simpler, with big colour contrast and large, or no patterns. Very little white and no reflective material. I will design the bulk of items for the visually impaired LO’s in red, orange and yellow to assist their vision.

Mom and I live on a farm in the country with two dogs and a cat and a nice big garden with the odd poisonous snakes. We have a big garden and a house and no help, so there is always something that needs to be done. Never a dull day!
