ANNOUNCEMENT! A vacancy exists for an occupational health technician to join the Shosholoza Group in Milnerton, Cape Town to start 1 Feb 2026. This Cape clinic consists of a fixed clinic and a mobile clinic. The occupational health technician is expected to work between both the fixed and the mobile clinic as the business requires.
Key Responsibilities
As an Occupational Health Technician, you will:
• Conduct workplace health screenings, including spirometry (lung function testing), audiometry (hearing tests), and vision screening.
• Support Occupational Health Practitioners in implementing health and safety programs.
• Record and report test results accurately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection laws.
• Educate employees on workplace health and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
• Calibrate and maintain health screening equipment.
• Assist with filing and record keeping.
• Assist with bookings and scheduling.
• Travel to client sites for on-site screenings as required.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
• A relevant qualification in Occupational Health.
• Certification in spirometry and audiometry (SASOHN-accredited).
• Experience in conducting occupational health screenings.
• Knowledge of South African health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Professional registration with relevant regulatory bodies is advantageous.
