The legacy of Ubuntu Traditional balms started in a humble and small family owned pharmacy in Cape Town by a chemist who formulated the balms 70 years ago.

The balms gained popularity and it was proven to work for the ailments that it was prescribed for. The secret formula was passed down from generations and today it is still prepared by a pharmacist still using the original formula. Up to today people from near and far come for these balms that works for nappy rashes, boils and helps soothes chesty wheezy coughs.

Ubuntu Traditional Balms concept started with the idea in mind to modernize age old traditions that was brought with the ships from English & Netherlands settlers back in the 1600’s; and to make it more appealing & accessible to our younger generations.

Ubuntu Traditional Balms ranges from the Vintage Range which includes- Drawing & Healing/Baba Bors Balsam/Boudjie Salf/Kaapse Smeervet/Corn & Cal. to Impi Balm. New additions to the family will be a range of oils which compliments the balms & cold creams. The must haves is the Pure Glycerin Bar & Zinc/Starch & Boracic powder.
