November is Diabetic Retinopathy Awareness Month
Protect Your Vision — Book Your Eye Check Today

Did you know that diabetic retinopathy is one of the leading causes of vision loss worldwide? The good news is that early detection can prevent up to 95% of vision loss. In the collage below the top image is normal and the bottom image shows severe diabetic retinopathy.

If you have diabetes—Type 1 or Type 2—regular eye exams are not optional. They are essential. Many people don’t notice symptoms until the damage is already advanced.

Look after your eyes by:
✔️ Getting an annual dilated eye exam
✔️ Monitoring your blood sugar levels
✔️ Managing blood pressure and cholesterol
✔️ Seeking help immediately if you notice blurred vision, floaters, or dark spots

Your sight matters.
Don’t wait for symptoms — schedule your eye screening this November

👁️ Protect Your Eyes on the Padel Court! 🎾

Padel is fast, fun — and closer than you think!
But the ball can fly over 120 km/h and fit right into your eye socket.
Across Europe, eye specialists are reporting retinal tears and even blindness from padel injuries.

✅ Wear protective sports eyewear (polycarbonate or shatter-proof goggles).
✅ Stay alert at the net – rebounds off the glass can surprise you.
✅ See a doctor immediately if you get hit in the eye — even if vision seems fine.

Let’s keep padel safe, sharp, and in focus 👓💪

Happy New Year 2025!

As we step into a fresh year, let’s focus on seeing the world more clearly—literally and figuratively! Your eye health is an essential part of your overall well-being. Here are some resolutions to keep your vision sharp in 2025:

Get an annual eye exam. Even if your vision seems fine, regular check-ups can catch potential issues early.

Follow the 20-20-20 rule. For every 20 minutes of screen time, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.

Eat for your eyes. Incorporate foods rich in Vitamin A, Omega-3s, and antioxidants into your meals.

Wear UV protection. Sunglasses aren’t just stylish—they’re essential for shielding your eyes from harmful rays.

Practice proper screen hygiene. Adjust lighting, use blue light filters, and avoid staring at screens in the dark.

In 2025, let’s embrace a vision for healthy habits, clear goals, and brighter days ahead. Wishing you a year of clarity, comfort, and endless possibilities!

Take care of your eyes—they’ll take care of you!
