👬 Friendships as Men Age: Why They Matter & How to Keep Them Strong
As we get older, many of us realize that our circle gets smaller, not because we care less, but because life gets busy. Work, family, responsibilities… and before we know it, months (or years) pass without catching up with our closest friends.
But here’s the truth: strong friendships are essential to our mental and physical health.
Studies show that men with close friendships are happier, less stressed, and even live longer. 💪
So how do we keep those bonds alive?
✅ Be intentional. Schedule that coffee, game night, or gym session, don’t wait for “when things slow down.”
✅ Reach out first. A simple “Hey man, been thinking about you” can go a long way.
✅ Go deeper. Real connection comes when we talk about more than just sports or work. It’s okay to share what’s really going on.
✅ Show up. Celebrate their wins, check in during tough times, and be the kind of friend you’d want to have.
Life’s easier when you don’t walk it alone. Friendship isn’t just something we had in our 20s, it’s something we need in our 40s, 50s, and beyond.
