Why should we read food labels?

Food labels help us know what we are eating. By checking the ingredients and nutrition table, we can choose foods with less sugar, salt, and fat. Products with simpler, natural ingredients are usually better for health. Reading labels also reduces waste by helping us understand expiry dates correctly.

Think before you sweeten 🍬

Small, everyday choices around sugar add up over time especially when consuming sugary drinks, flavoured yoghurts, cereals, sauces, and some snacks.

Too much added sugar can contribute to weight gain, dental decay, and increased risk of insulin resistance and heart disease over time.

💡 Try this:
✔ Choose water/unsweetened drinks
✔ Check labels for added sugars
✔ Sweeten with fruit, cinnamon or vanilla instead

Choose awareness. Choose balance.

🧠🥗 Mental health and nutrition are closely connected.

What we eat can influence brain function, mood regulation, and overall mental well-being. A balanced, nutrient-rich diet supports not only physical health but also emotional resilience and cognitive function.

Dietitians play a key role in providing evidence-based nutrition guidance to support holistic health, mind and body.

💚 Nourishing your plate is one way to support your mental well-being.

Hydration is often overlooked, yet it plays a vital role in energy, focus and overall wellbeing. 💧

Keeping water within reach and sipping regularly throughout the day can support both physical and mental performance.

Remember: staying hydrated is a simple habit with powerful benefits.
