Dear Somerset East Community,

It is with a mix of emotions that we announce that Daniel is stepping away from our family business to further his dreams in Johannesburg.

From early mornings at the shop to late nights ensuring that every customer had a great shopping experience at de Freitas Spar that day, Daniel's commitment has been unwavering. He has not only contributed to the growth and success of our business but has also touched the lives of so many within our community.

Although we are saddened by his departure, we are thrilled for the new opportunities that lie ahead for him and his family. Daniel will be joining Spar Pharmacy South Africa to help establish new pharmacies across the country, just as he did in our cherished town—a journey we fully support.

On behalf of the community, we want to thank Daniel for his unwavering love, dedication, and hard work invested in de Freitas Spar and Somerset East.

Please join us in wishing Daniel, Ashleigh and Levi all the best in this next chapter over the next few weeks.

We will no longer be closed alternating weekends anymore. Our dedicated pharmacy staff will offer a full service everyday of the month!

Two exciting developments busy unfolding:

1. We are busy expanding our front shop in order to increase our offering. So keep an eye out for our new and available products once we’ve expanded.

2. We are awaiting our final equipment for our clinic and then we will offer a range of clinic services including immunisations and various other injections.

‼️New Pharmacist Alert‼️

We would like to take the time to introduce Mr Shalin Boesak to the Somerset East Community〽️

My Boesak hails from the friendly city of Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)💨

He is a vibrant, energetic and extremely friendly individual and his presence within our pharmacy can already be felt⚡️

He completed his BPharm degree at the Nelson Mandela University in 2021. He was a top student of his year🔑

He then further completed an additional qualification in injection and immunisation techniques which means he is able to perform injections and immunisations💉

We are extremely excited to have Mr Boesak on board at De Freitas Pharmacy at Spar. We wish him the best with his tenure at De Freitas Pharmacy at Spar❗️
