Bailey & Luna 🐾

Our two nameless pups are finally safe. They’ve been uplifted and are now in kennels — and for the first time, they have names of their own.

Bailey (brown boy) is absolutely petrified.
He’s a bit reactive right now, but this is fear — nothing else.

They’ve spent over a year locked outside, with little to no human interaction. No attention. No stability.
So now we start from scratch — slowly, patiently — helping him learn that people can be safe again.

Luna is the opposite.
She’s gentle, friendly, and good with dogs, people and kids. Just a really lovely girl.

But right now, they need each other, and I am not planning on separating them at this stage.

If homed together:
• No children
• No other animals
• Someone home during the day
• Must sleep inside
• A calm, patient home where Bailey can learn to trust

We will assess Bailey as he settles. If he cannot come right, I will make that call when the time comes. Luna will be homed into the right family regardless.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Their care, kennels, food and support all come at a cost, and I rely on donations to continue doing this work.

We are still using our temporary account due to fraud on our Nedbank account while a new FNB account is being set up:

TJF, Tyme Bank

If you can help in any way, even a small amount — it really does make a difference.

Thank you for standing with them 🩷🐾

There’s something incredibly special about mornings at sanctuary in 💗

Before anything else, it’s feeding time — bowls lined up, tails wagging, little paws weaving between our legs, and hungry meows echoing through the rooms. Every meal is made with care. Every scoop, every mix, every warm bowl placed down is done with love. Because these aren’t “just animals”… they are our family.

On cold, rainy mornings like these, it matters even more. Full tummies, dry beds, and warm little nooks to curl up in — we’re constantly creating safe, cozy spaces inside their structures so they can feel secure and protected from the weather. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.

A massive, heartfelt thank you to .grocery.discounter and for your ongoing support and food donations. You make such a real difference to these lives every single day.

We still go through huge amounts of food, especially Woolworths chicken and Pamper jelly tins — so if anyone would like to contribute, it would mean the world to us and to them.

These kids are deeply loved. Truly. And I feel incredibly blessed to share my life with them.

And to those who don’t have animals… you are missing out. In the biggest, most beautiful way. They fill spaces in your heart you didn’t even know existed.

🚨 URGENT: WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨

We are sitting with outstanding vet bills that we desperately need to clear so that we can continue helping the babies who rely on us every single day.

💔 Cottage Vet (North Coast Vet) – just over R4,000 outstanding
💔 Claremont Vet – approximately R7,500 outstanding

We have ongoing cases, more bloods being done, and more costs coming in… and I simply can’t keep carrying this alone.

Since January, I’ve personally covered over R250,000 in vet bills — and I really need support to keep going.

🙏 If you can help — even R50 or R100 — it truly makes a difference.

💔 THEY HAVE NO NAMES 💔

These two beautiful pit bulls are 5 years old… and they’ve already been deserted once.

One is a brown male, the other a white and brown female.

Their owners emigrated and left them behind.
They are now living outside, with no real home, no stability, no place where they belong.

They are just… there.

They have until the end of the month to find a home.

I am completely happy to split them if it means finding the right homes.

I’ve already homed the other daughter’s pit bull who was also left behind when she emigrated — so I know they can settle, they just need the chance.

What they need is simple:
A home.
A name.
A family.

They need to be inside dogs.
They cannot be locked away or left outside.

Please… they’ve already been abandoned once.
Let’s not let that happen again.

I will drive within a 2-hour radius from Cape Town for the right home.

Not sure why cats ALWAYS have to lie in the most un-bloody-comfortable places 🙈

When my heart needs a little mending, I pour that energy into creating something beautiful for my babies 🤍

Today was no different. On my way to a braai to watch the rugby, I found myself starting a new little sanctuary space for one of our kitties who prefers his own quiet corner of the world.

By tomorrow, it’ll be complete — his own peaceful hideaway, with a tunnel wrapping around it so the others can zoom and play while he enjoys his calm, safe space.

There’s something incredibly healing in building these little pieces of magic for them… and I can’t wait to show you the finished result tomorrow ✨
