The Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) is this today observing the provincial World Stop Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Day, beginning with a community walk in Katlehong, City of Ekurhuleni. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about this preventable and curable disease that still claims thousands of lives every year. The commemoration aims to strengthen community‑based prevention, encourage early testing and treatment, and accelerate progress toward ending the TB epidemic.

As we wrap up the cataract marathon, we are flowing with gratitude. Today our management and supporting team bid farewell to our last patients, providing them with medication and explaining their treatment plans for a clear recovery.

We are grateful to team Thelle for their dedication throughout the cataract marathon. Special thanks to Life Healthcare and South African National Council for the Blind(SANCB) for partnering with us.
