Riaan Smuts Testimony

Today I would like to take the opportunity to thank BWC and all the staff for changing me and my life. Because where I was a few weeks ago, before I worked this amazing life saving program, I was broken, killing myself and everyone close to me, without even realizing the damage I am doing to everyone including myself. I was addicted to crack for + - 15 years and had no more life in me when I arrived here on 05 December 2025. I wanted to die, su***de was my plan and at that time I thought it is the only way out. Man o man, satan is a basted. Let me tell you he controlled my whole life, took away every little thing that was important to me. Thank God I ended up at BWC. Today I am on my way home, which is amazing and I cant wait for my family to meet the new (use to be addict) me, because I am now living again and feel like a new born baby. Thank you BWC.

Before coming to Breakthrough Wellness Centre I was lost and unsure. I spent everyday just going through the motions with no actual direction for my life. Addiction has made me stagnant. I', grateful that I had people who cared about me enough to bring me here. The experiences I went through and the people I met at BWC played a huge role in the process of my recovery. The counsellors, who walked me through the program and made sure I was always okay, my fellow recovering addicts who were kind to me and showed me love and respect, all of these people showed me that I could become more than what I was. They helped me realise my value as a person. They became my second family. My experiences here will always be a part of my life. I cant forget all that I've learned in the 21 days I spent here.

If we allow our emotions to controll our minds and the way we act we wil not make it and will always end up where we came from. So as soon as we can learn that our mind should always be in contol of our emotions failure isn't an option any more. So lets focus on renewing our minds daily.
