The enemy doesn't want people to attain relevant knowledge pertaining to life because it's a greatest commodity in the land of success. Instead, he preoccupies the majority with lots of fun or entertainment.

"Does this person have enough knowledge about this area of life?" In this case, finances.
If he finds out that you are ignorant, then boom, he will use your ignorance (darkness) to rule over that area of your life (finances), because he is a ruler of darkness (ignorance).
