Mulenje Primary School was established in 2019. Located 25Km from the main town, in Chongwe district. It has 228 pupils, with 4 teachers. Learners range from Grades 1-7.
The school is facing a number of challenges ranging from: one classroom being used by the Grades 1 and 2 with 8 desks; Grades 3- 7 learn underneath tree shades, sitting on blocks and simple made benches, no electricity available (They can't use computers for their computer studies) One ablution block only ( 2 VIP toilets). Water is accessible through one hand pump stationed at the school.
It is for this cause that Shuumbwa Pride initiative had made a decision adopt the school, one of the Organization’s key objectives is to support and supplement government’s efforts through educational support activities.
We are seeking partnerships, collaborations and donations from any individual or institution who wish to join us improve the learners school life. Education is a noble endeavor, as we all know, but it is wise to occasionally keep in mind that nothing worthwhile can be taught. We support assisting society's most marginalized and vulnerable members. A small donation would go a long way in helping us improve the educational activities of the learners.
