YOUR MENTAL WELL-BEING IS IMPORTANT!

Mental Focus is a advocacy/campaign
that aims to educate those who may or may not be dealing with mental disease. It is accessible to anyone who wants someone to hear what they have to say. Additionally, this campaign will spread awareness and understanding about how to deal with mental health issues. This project also attempts to inform the public that mental illness is a significant issue that requires careful consideration.

I believe that talking about your issues can help you let go of trapped emotions. Finding a solution to the issue may be aided by speaking with someone outside of the circumstance.

According to experts, talking can reduce stress and help someone's worries feel less overwhelming. By beginning to divide a problem down into manageable pieces, talking about it can help you stop feeling so overwhelmed.

We are currently approaching exam time and many students are filled with panic and anxiety during this time of the year.

Time management and setting a pace for yourself towards exam time will assist you on the path to success in your studies.

A study published in the Lancet Public Health in December 2017, conducted at the University of Cambridge (Galante, J. et al.) found that mindfulness is effective at tackling exam stress.

Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

A moderate degree of stress and nervousness during the revision and assessment period is completely natural and can even be healthy by motivating you to study hard.

Most students successfully finish their exam time. However, for a small number of students, stress or anxiety can build up to overwhelming levels, if you find yourself in this situation, please seek help, and talk to your school or university counsel.

We need to acknowledge that exam stress can be overwhelming and exhausting. The impact exam season has on Mental Health and a person’s well-being highlights to us that support and resources should be a priority for learners. The incorporation of study techniques and methods should be incorporated into the curriculum.

We wish you all the best of luck with your 2022 studies.

Happy World Mental Health Day! October 10 is a day for global mental health education, awareness, and advocacy. 1 in 5 Australians are affected by mental illness annually, yet many don’t seek help because of stigma. Prioritising your mental health and helping to stamp out stigma is more important than ever!

This World Mental Health Day – the message is simple: “Look after your mental health”

Continued support to care facilities has a positive effect on children and care givers. Every meaningful member of society should take keen interest in protecting and promoting the interests of less privileged members of society.

We know that when a girl completes secondary education, her risk of HIV infection is reduced by up to 50%.

HIV is not just a disease. A pandemic is more than health. It is also about education and human rights.

Keeping girls in school helps ensure their rights and prevent HIV.

There are many ways to take care of your mental health. It can be highly individualized. What works for one person may not work for another and don’t try to insist otherwise. There are some tried and true approaches, though, which help most people. I like this list. Most of them work for me. What's your favorite go to approach?
