When an opposition presidential aspirant stands before the nation and declares,
“I will quit politics if the current president wins again next year,”
understand one thing: that is not courage — it is emotional blackmail dressed as leadership.
A true leader does not hold the people hostage with childish ultimatums. Only a desperate politician gambles with threats instead of ideas.
This is the language of someone who knows they cannot inspire confidence, someone who has no vision to offer, and someone who is trying to manipulate public sentiment through fear, not through policy.
If your entire political strategy is built on “elect me or I run away,” then you are not running for president — you are running from responsibility.
A leader stands firm in defeat and humble in victory.
A leader fights for the people regardless of who wins, because service is not a conditional contract.
But when a presidential aspirant turns an election into a personal tantrum, it shows the nation exactly what they are made of: fragile ambition, weak conviction, and an empty agenda.
Let it be known: a nation cannot be led by people like Harry Kalaba who threatens to quit before the real fight has even begun.
He is not ready for power, not ready for pressure, and certainly not ready for the presidency.
The people deserve vision, not theatrics; leadership, not ultimatums; courage, not cowardice disguised as bold talk.
