HH CALLS ON LUNGU TO REIGN ON ONGOING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

Zambia's incoming 7th Republican President, Hakainde Hichilema has charged that his government will not tolerate illegality in the name of celebrating an election victory.

Hichilema also says outgoing Republican President Edgar Lungu still has the responsibility to maintain law and order to the fullest extent as current Commander in Chief.

"We wish to restate our position and be categorically clear that those wishing to take part in illegal acts; including the destruction of public and private property, must immediately stop or be dealt with by the law," stated Hichilema on his official page.

Lungu is still in charge until the President -elect is sworn in next Tuesday, according to Article 105 of the Constitution.
