On todays Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Admin has received various questions from our members of the public asking if our radiology department is functional and as to how many times one can have an X-ray.
________________________________________
According to doctors, there's no set limit on how many X-rays a person can have, but it depends on medical necessity. X-rays are done when the benefits outweigh the risks, like monitoring a condition or guiding treatment.
Typically, X-rays are kept to a minimum to reduce radiation exposure, but if needed, they can be repeated multiple times. A patient with lung issues might need several X-rays to track progress, and post-surgery patients may require X-rays to check healing.
The decision depends entirely on the doctor's assessment of the patient's condition. Generally, X-rays are safe when used appropriately, and doctors aim to minimize exposure while ensuring proper care.

Ba mwisho, let’s not just show up at the X-ray department with out a doctor requesting for an X-ray.

Malaria cases escalate during the rainy season, necessitating heightened awareness and prompt action. This mosquito-borne disease can be life-threatening if not treated promptly. Malaria often presents with flu-like symptoms, including high fever, chills, headache, nausea, and body aches. If these symptoms manifest, it is imperative to seek medical attention without delay.
Untreated malaria can lead to severe complications, such as organ failure, coma, and even death, particularly among vulnerable populations, including children under 5, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
Accurate diagnosis requires a blood test, and treatment depends on the type and severity of the disease. Self-medication is strongly discouraged, as it can exacerbate the condition and hinder effective treatment. Our healthcare providers are equipped to diagnose and treat malaria effectively.
Early detection and treatment are crucial in preventing severe illness and saving lives. If symptoms persist, we encourage you to visit our facility for prompt medical attention. By working together, we can combat malaria and protect public health.
