๐ Today's Action, Tomorrow's Health: Gutu Mission Hospital Cleans Up! ๐
Happy First Friday of the month!
Did you know that keeping our surroundings clean is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent diseases and protect our community's health?
This morning, in line with the National Clean-Up Day, the dedicated staff of Gutu Mission Hospital took to the grounds! We spent time picking up and safely burning litter and debris around the Mission premises.
๐งน Why We Cleaned Up:
Disease Prevention: Litter and stagnant water are breeding grounds for mosquitoes (malaria and dengue) and pests (typhoid and cholera). A clean environment means fewer illnesses!
Safety: Removing sharp objects and debris makes our hospital grounds safer for our patients and visitors.
Community Pride: A clean mission is a welcoming and healing environment for everyone.
โจ Our Call to Action for YOU:
We did our part today, and we encourage every member of our community to do theirs!
1. ๐๏ธ Don't Litter: Always use a bin, or keep your trash until you find one.
2. ๐ง Clear Stagnant Water: Check your yards and containers to prevent mosquito breeding.
3. ๐ค Join a Clean-Up: Organize or participate in a clean-up in your neighbourhood.
Letโs work together to make Gutu a healthier, safer, and cleaner place. A healthy community starts with a clean environment!
