Sometimes you feel like something about you just isn’t quite right. You respond to certain places, people, or experiences in ways that you just don’t understand. You’re wondering if something happened that makes you feel this way. You may want to consider whether you should look for signs of repressed childhood trauma in adults.

Experiencing traumatizing events during your early years is incredibly difficult. For some people, their brains choose to push the memory down into their unconscious, so they can continue living their lives. It isn’t something you decide to do. It is your brain’s coping mechanism, so you can survive and attempt to thrive. But the childhood trauma may cause you issues without you even realizing why.

Childhood Trauma and Memory Loss
Adverse Childhood Experiences are traumatic events that happen in your life before you reach adulthood. There are 10 ACEs, and each traumatic experience can harm your ability to function as an adult if you don’t cope with them.

The 10 ACEs are:
-Physical abuse
-Verbal abuse
-Sexual abuse
-Physical neglect
-Emotional neglect
-Alcoholic parent(s)
-Victim(s) of domestic abuse
-Family member(s) with mental illness
-The disappearance of parent(s), whether through a divorce, abandonment, or death
-Family member in prison
&These traumas can impact your brain’s ability to form memories.

Results of repressing trauma are ?
-Intense feelings of guilt or shame.
-Difficulty regulating emotions.
-Memory loss.
-Intrusive thoughts or flashbacks.
-Nightmares.
-Difficulty concentrating.

How to Heal?
-individual therapy modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or cognitive processing therapy (CPT)
-group therapy.
-yoga.
-meditation.
-art as therapy or expression.

First of all, let me provide my understanding of the concept of LOVE itself. What is it? Is it an emotion or feeling?

I don't view LOVE as an emotion or feeling; it is STRONGER because true love is UNCONDITIONAL. That's why it overlooks because it sees the BEST in a Person it is channeled towards.

Marriage is more than just two people coming together to share parental responsibilities with. It is meant to be an environment where the potential and pursuit of purpose emanates from. This was never man's idea; it was God's idea. Many have entered into marriage with their own idea and enjoyed the joy of their idea. But God having designed man according to His purpose saw it not fit for man to be ALONE. That's when marriage became constitutionalised by God and through the intelligence that God had given to Adam, he connected to Eve and called her wife. From that onset there was now Marriage so that the purpose of God could be fulfilled.

Love has a BLUEPRINT - a Plan to build Purpose.Marriages fail because of a simple principle: We DONT have a PLAN that we are building from.

Can you see what LOVE is then? We get into a relationship so that we can become ONE in marriage not for mjolo so that in marriage we can fulfil the Purpose of God. Everything that comes in between are the benefits of LOVE.

We live in a sad generation that is afraid of rejection because we want to fit into a cartel we don't belong to. Ignorantly we get drowned in the assimilation of the environment around us until our diversity is unrecognizable. There can never be unity if there is no diversity. Embrace your unique you.
