I’m sorry there’s 19 obstacles to effective listening mostly due to bias. A solution is being humble listening to learn.
What if there’s better ways to help someone struggling with invisible injuries?

1 - ASK. What hurts most, and How much does it hurt. And What we can do to reduce emotional pain.
1a-WRITING THERAPY. Writing anything about the trauma or emotional void is better than nothing. Best writing therapy could include,

Building Self Confidence.

2 - SHOCK, requires reducing any and all stress, and stressors.
3 - SEND TO HIGHER CARE.
Addictions, or Trauma treatment.
Call 911, 988, 211.
4 - TRIAGE requires discovering someone’s injuries or emotional void, write or talk about what hurts most and how much does it hurt.
(repeated intensively 2-3 weeks, and as needed)
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT.
5 - PEER SUPPORT GROUPS
a-past hurts, b-future wants or goals.
Building self confidence.
aa-don’t like, bb-future wants n needs.
6 - TALK THERAPY
Guided between patient and councillor.
Note: do not stick to one therapy if it’s not working, there are many.
7 - EXPOSURE THERAPY.
Rehearsal, practice, walk through, tryout.
8 - reassess often.
