On D-Day the carers and the Dementia Ambassador organised a little afternoon party for the people living with us, with help from domestic staff. We enjoyed listening to music from the 50s and had lots of fun.

This morning we did some household duties as requested by the people living with us. This afternoon we had a lovely afternoon tea with everyone and their families.

Recently, some of our colleagues attended the Care Home Awards on behalf of Maria Mallaband Care Group, where we picked up not one but TWO awards! 👏
We are beyond proud of every colleague at the company who has enabled us to do the work that we do and provide an exceptional level of care to those living with us.
We would also like to thank the Care Home Awards for hosting a wonderful ceremony where we were able to connect with other industry professionals and provide those hard-working individuals with the recognition they deserve. 🤗

Over the weekend the carers had fun gardening with the people living withs us! We also made animal faces out of our hand prints!

Over the last few days we’ve had lots of fun! Baking, playing pool and movie mornings. Our movie clubs really seems to be a great hit with the people living with us!

Yesterday we had a special visit! We very much enjoyed the entertainment put on for us!

Today we spent the day with a movie morning which all the people living with us enjoyed and a fun exercise class in the afternoon.

Today we attempted to make some forget me not flower biscuits in preparation for our afternoon tea!

Today we spent most of the day in the garden celebrating VE Day! We played card games, listened to music, lots of chatting and some delicious ice creams. 🇬🇧🍦

Thursday last week some of the people that live with us gave gardening a go, which they all seemed too enjoy planting in the garden.

On the 31st march the people who live with us at Manor Park had a lovely visit from the Easter bunny who brought chocolates for everyone. Smiles all round!

At Manor Park we had a special bingo: Valentine's bingo. The winners enjoyed the prizes specially offered on the occasion of Valentine's Day.

The people living with us participated in group games, listened to music on the piano, sang, walked around the garden. They also had a pamper day.

Manor Park invited Johnny, the eternally young singer. He brought smiles and joy to the people living with us. Together we sang, danced and listened to stories relating to some singers and their music. Thanks Johnny, everyone enjoyed.
