These engineers are trained to minimise breakdown times and to look for long term solutions for machine reliability. We offer onsite scheduled repairs as well as 24hr emergency cover if required. We are not tied to any single manufacturer and currently repair most makes of industrial laundry equipment. All our equipment is installed and commissioned by R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering’s skilled team of engineers. This ensures minimum disruption to production schedules and enhances equipment efficiency. R Brown Specialist Laundry Engineering has the team to tackle the job for all your machine relocation or installation requirements. We have a small team of fabricators and a designer who can manufacture most parts to your specifications and provide up to date solutions for all your control panel needs, be it from a washer extractor panel, to a batch washer and tumble drier panel or even a complete bag system. We offer breakdown and holiday/sickness cover for your engineering department. We can offer a full pipeline installation service, for all your steam, gas and air requirements. We repair all types of industrial laundry machines, we can offer PLC upgrades to all of your existing laundry equipment. Six Passat tumblers out and replaced with six new Lavatec machines in Llansamlet, Swansea.

🌍♻️ It's Recycle Week 2024: "Rescue Me!" ♻️🌍

This week, from 14th to 20th October, we’re joining to celebrate Recycle Week 2024. This year's theme is "Rescue Me," it’s all about rescuing recyclable items from the rubbish bin! 🗑️➡️♻️

Roughly 7 years ago, we determined that Barker Laundry and Dry Cleaning would become more environmentally conscious. We would start initiatives to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we would reduce our use of plastic, we would recycle our hangers and make a greater effort to dispose of our waste more thoughtfully.

Since 2018 we have reduced our use of single-use plastic by 90%. We have invested in new technology to reduce our use of fuel oil and introduced an LED lighting infrastructure across all Barker branches.

A slow day in Nottingham today decommissioning a really lovely Baker Perkins 4 roll machine with my two lads and the Broadbent boys.

Elizabeth Ferioli-Brown whom we sponsored for the Wako world championships, makes it on to the TV Well done indeed.
