Hi Ladies,

Our Menopause workshop is now available to book!!

We are starting on Thursday 22nd February from 7-9ish at Riverbank Cafe and Farm Shop with a four weekly session workshop.

Together with Rachel Harvey Yoga we will help you to understand and navigate your way through your menopause journey. Here is an outline of what we will be covering each week....

Week 1 - What and Why?

Your introduction to your hormones, responsible for everything that is going on at the moment. Why you feel like you are on an emotional, and physical rollercoaster, and when it will calm down. We will look at the most and least popular menopause symptoms, as well as some weird ones in the middle! We will also look at HRT, it's different types and benefits and the alternatives if you choose not to go down that route.

Week 2 - Stress and Sleep.

Two of the biggest problem areas for many women. Why is your cortisol so high? What can you do to bring that down. Why is everything so triggering?
How to manage your (lack of) sleep schedule. Exhausted in the day, and wide awake at night is not sustainable, so we will explain what's going on there, with hints and tips for you to reclaim your sleep and sanity.

Week 3 - Movement.

Why movement is important during this phase in your life. Which types of exercise is beneficial, whether you are a seasoned exerciser, or just starting out.
Rachel will also be doing a demonstration of a range of gentle, accessible and supported movements, with a focus on what can be helpful at this stage of life.
There are specific areas we can focus on to help on a physical level to build bone density, maintain muscle mass, and increase mobility.
Movement can also be a great tonic to releasing built up emotions and balancing our energy levels.
No need to bring any work out gear or equipment, the session will be partially learning and any movement we do will be possible from our chair or standing.
Simply wear comfy clothing.

Week 4 - Nutrition, in and out.

In this session we will look at how your changing hormones cause your body to react differently to normal things. Intolerance is higher, and histamine levels are up. How to calm the overactive nature of your body during this time, hello spots and rashes!
We will look at awareness of your body and the messages it is sending you both inside and out.
Looking at what foods and products can help, and which won't so you can make informed decisions on a day to day basis.

We will then do a round up of all the weeks key points.

There will be questions during the sessions, participation is encouraged, but not vital so you don't need to say anything if you don't want to.

There will be a handout covering the key points, and follow up sessions are planned.

The cost for this invaluable workshop is £70, usually £90.
