In our house I make and serve one meal for dinner. Sometimes there needs to be slight variations. This is the adult portion vs kid portion variation. We have a rule that the kids must try 3 bites before saying they don't like it and find something different.
When making something I have a feeling or know they will not enjoy, I purposely serve smaller portions that equal about 3 bites.
✅ Less food waste
✅ Kids try new foods
✅ We all connect and eat the same meal
✅ Parents don't have to feel the need to clean their kids plates
Tonight I was surprised - all my kids asked for more! The feature menu item: chicken, red cabbage, carrots, rice pad thai noodles, peanut sauce and cilantro.
