It appears that when a certain degree of nerve compression exists, there is a 'dampening down' effect on the nerves that connect the stressed area to the brain, so insufficient messages are relayed to the brain.

It is the purpose of BSR to locate the exact sites of tension and provide the correct stimuli to the area, in such a way that the brain registers the presence of the body stress and becomes aware that action needs to be taken.

To really heal from the inside you must give your body the best chances at repairing itself. Body Stress Release is the only modality that relies on the body's natural wisdom to heal. If you follow your BSR practitioner's advice regarding resting times, posture and other lifestyle factors, you are more likely to experience gradual and often times sudden improvements. We are not providing a quick fix, we do not do manipulations, work with meridians or provide palliative care. We simply unveil the locations of built up stress, and gently nudge the nervous system to acknowledge and begin leading the body on the path of repair. Some bodies seem to recover quicker than others, but there is a lot you can do to aid the process. Your body is in charge, I facilitate the process. Give BSR a chance. Try it, trust it, it works.
