In a groundbreaking prosthetic program conducted at Burjeel Medical City, three individuals from three countries have found renewed life in the UAE. The 10 Journeys Initiative by our Founder and Managing Director Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, has successfully begun with the first three free osseointegration surgeries completed by a team led by world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Prof. Dr. Munjed Al Muderis. Anas from Palestine, who lost his leg and eye, Joshua from the United States, who survived a motorcycle accident, and Sharon from India, who endured a decade of struggle after a road accident, are now set to begin a new chapter.

As BJ Medical College reopened after the tragic Air India crash, a meaningful gesture of support took place behind closed doors.

Representatives from VPS Health handed over ₹6 crore in aid—announced by Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil—to the families of deceased students, doctors, and those injured in the tragedy.

The cheques were distributed in the presence of the Dean, faculty, and the Junior Doctors Association, in a private gathering.

In a solemn moment of solidarity, the ₹6 crore relief pledged by our Founder and Managing Director Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil was handed over to the families of students and doctors affected by the Air India Flight 171 tragedy at BJ Medical College. The support was distributed through the Dean’s office and the Junior Doctors Association, reaching the families of those who lost their lives and the injured survivors.
