Aubrey Antiojo-Virly, RN, CPC began her career as a Philippine Registered Nurse in 2005, building her clinical experience in patient care. In 2012, she transitioned into medical coding, applying her healthcare background to documentation and coding practice. Over the years, she has worked in coding, claims, appeals, and education, and has been involved in mentoring and training initiatives.
She currently serves as Associate Director at Shearwater Health, where she oversees Training, Education, and Academy for Provider Vertical. In January 2025, she also assumed the role of President of the AAPC Philippines Local Chapter, supporting efforts focused on professional development and collaboration within the coding community.
In the past year, the chapter hosted six meetings that provided members with free CEU opportunities. These meetings were conducted with the support of partner organizations, including HIM Training Institute, Shearwater Health, and Tenet Conifer Global Business Center, as well as contributions from experienced professionals in the Philippine medical coding field. Aubrey acknowledges the support of colleagues and chapter officers, particularly Christopher Ian Bonto and Jeffrey Rivera, for their contributions to the chapter’s initiatives.
She maintains an active role in both her career and chapter leadership while balancing personal commitments.
