Christmas Day at NMC Specialty Hospital was filled with joy and festive spirit.

She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Government Medical College, Alleppey and postgraduate psychiatry training from Government Medical College, Trivandrum. With additional experience from the renowned Mental Health Centre, Trivandrum, Dr. Shahana is skilled in diagnosing and managing psychological conditions using both medications and psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, organized a Cancer Support Group Meeting focusing on health and overall well-being. The event featured a distinguished lineup of medical experts: Dr. Balaji Balasubramaniam, Consultant Surgical Oncology; Dr. Cherian Thampy and Dr. Rajitha Lokadasan, both Consultant Medical Oncologists.

Ms. Anusmitha Augustine, Clinical Dietitian, and Dr. Padmaraju Varrey, HOD – Specialist Psychiatry, were also part of the program, guiding participants on nutrition and mental well-being. Additionally, the meeting included heartfelt messages from cancer survivors, offering inspiration and support to those currently battling breast cancer.
