We are pleased to welcome Prof. Kausik Ray MD FMedSci to EDEC 2026. 🎙️🩺

Prof. Ray is a Professor of Public Health at Imperial College London and an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Imperial College NHS Trust. He is the Immediate Past President of the European Atherosclerosis Society, Chair of the WHF Cholesterol Roadmap, and the NIHR National Lead for Cardiovascular Disease.

His academic journey spans the University of Birmingham, University of Sheffield, a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and an MPhil in Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge.

With research focused on lipids, diabetes, cardiovascular health, and population science, Prof. Ray brings exceptional expertise to the EDEC stage.

We are pleased to announce Dr. Sarah Mayson as a speaker at EDEC 2026.

Dr. Mayson is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, with specialized training in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism from the University of Pennsylvania.

She serves as the Director of the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship Program and leads the Thyroid Nodule Clinical Program at the University of Colorado Hospital. Dr. Mayson also contributes to national clinical standards as a member of the American Thyroid Association’s adult thyroid nodule guidelines taskforce.

We look forward to welcoming her expertise to the EDEC 2026 stage.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Micheal Lean as a speaker at Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Congress (EDEC) 2026. A pioneering figure in human nutrition, obesity, and diabetes, Professor Lean established the first Department of Human Nutrition in a Scottish medical school and is the only doctor on the UK GMC Specialist Register for Human Nutrition, Diabetes, and Endocrinology.

He has authored over 400 research articles, received multiple awards including the Rank Prize for Nutrition Research (2024), and holds honorary fellowships at Downing College, University of Cambridge, with visiting professorships at the University of Otago and University of Sydney.
