At Plaay, we use a blend of coconut sugar + dates. Why? Because they bring different things to the table. Coconut sugar is light and caramely, dates are deeper and jammy — together they make the chocolate taste just right. And all of this without messing with your blood sugar.
It’s not about which one is “better.” At the tiny portion we use, their glycemic load is pretty much the same. We just didn’t go all-dates because it can take over the flavour.
Even with clean sugars, we keep the dose small on purpose: under 5g natural sugar per truffle. No sugar alcohols. No fiber syrups. No fake “clean” claims. Just ingredients you know, in numbers we’re upfront about.
Because “clean” at Plaay means: a short ingredient list, no nasty extras, and pure transparency.
