Many of our thoughts are automatic. We often don't notice how self-critical or harsh they can be, or even the impact they have on us.

We can get trapped in thinking loops without realizing it. Bringing these patterns into awareness is the first step toward change.

Try noticing your thoughts, questioning them gently, and seeing them as temporary events, not facts. Even small moments of awareness can help break the cycle. 💡

National story telling week runs from 31st January- 8th February. It celebrates the power of sharing stories through reading, writing and sharing verbally across generations. Narrative skills are important for a child’s speech and language development to enhance communication, social interaction and and literacy skills

Due to the popularity of our last teen program, Inspire Therapy will run another 6-Week Compassion Focused Group for teens. This group provides a safe space for young people to explore their emotions, understand anxiety, and develop practical coping tools.

Over the six weeks, teens will:

🌟 Explore the nature of anxiety and discover gentle, practical ways to understand and manage it.
💬 Practice coping strategies to manage stress, worries, and difficult emotions.
🌿 Take steps toward building confidence and resilience in a supportive environment.
🪷 Strengthen self-compassion. Learning to respond to yourself with kindness rather than criticism.
🤗 Connect with peers facing similar challenges, share experiences, and feel supported.

The program combines guided conversations and practical skill-building exercises to help teens feel supported as they learn self-compassion and explore ways to expand their emotional ‘toolkit’. Weekly sessions are led by a psychologist.

Sessions will run once weekly after school at Inspire Therapy Clinic, each lasting approximately 1 hour.

We run groups for different ages and stages. Contact our clinic to have a chat about which group might be the best fit for your child.

Start date for the group program is Friday 23rd of January.

🧘 Move your body – stretch, walk, or dance
🌙 Rest without guilt – you don’t need to “earn” rest
💡 Say yes to help – you don’t have to do it alone

✨ Caring for yourself is not a luxury — it’s a necessity.
